Mpirik was founded by Dr. Navjot (Joe) Kohli to help his patients receive the best care based on all the data available. Shortly after completing his orthopedic surgery fellowship in 2008 and beginning his practice, Dr. Kohli noticed significant shortcomings in the way he practiced medicine – specifically around data collection and patient communication. He started building software to help address those shortcomings, and began using the product at his hospitals. Patients loved the communication. Dr. Kohli's patient satisfaction scores shot up. His physician partners started using the product and they noticed the same results. Mpirik was born.

Along the way, Mpirik gained inroads to other departments given the success in orthopedics. Mpirik started brainstorming opportunities in the cardiac space, and Mpirik soon began working to address undertreatment of cardiovascular diseases.

We are proud to serve nearly 100 hospitals, and the patients in their care, across the country. As Mpirik takes on new challenges and expands its reach, the initial goal of improving the lives of patients and their caregivers remains the same.
